N-NET implements RFID based Container Tracking and Management System in PartnerShip with ITC Infotech and Aayur Technologies.

Brief Synopsis:

A.S. Shipping Agencies applies reusable EPC Gen 2 passive tags to shipping containers, enabling the firm to track the location of freight throughout its 60-acre yard. This is one of the first full fledged implementation of RFID in India and first solution of its kind using RFID + GPS + GSM.

Background:

This solution has been implemented by N-NET in a consortium along with ITC Infotech (http://www.itcinfotech.com) and Aayur Technologies (http://www.aayurtech.com). ITC Infotech conceptualized the idea and provided an extensive Container Tracking and Management Solution software and Aayur tech provided the GPS module required for the solution. N-NET provided the RFID hardware units along with tags. It was also responsible for integration of the hardware units and deployment at the site on Gantry cranes and Reach Stackers.
